We partner with the Madisonville Area Revitalization Initiative (MARI) organization in town for the vendors on the square. The “Saturday on the Square” with arts and craft vendors, was the name of MARI’s annual event. In 2003, our 3rd annual and MARI’s 14th annual “Saturday on the Square” were held concurrently, with 100 vendors and has been ever since. Today we have grown to over 150 arts and crafts vendors at the Texas Mushroom Festival, prior to COVID it was 200+ arts and crafts vendors, this is one of MARI’s way to raise money for their organization.
